The Matriarchy Series is the new annual offering from HYPERWAVES. Rooted in the psychonautic scene of Den Haag, this 12 track compilation invites non-male artists from the outernational psy, tek, and trance communities to build a collective force of divine sonics. Each auditory piece is accompanied by motion graphics from Mysterious Creator - a 60 second ocular voyage unique to every track. 

The Matriarchy Series is a portal inviting more feminine energy into faster, darker, and psychedelic styles of music. HYPERWAVES builds a space grounded in a culture of collective care and sonic rebellion, and enables all women and non-binary to explore the crevices of their craft outside the confines of conformity. 

The compilation glides between moments of introversion and surges of euphoria, obscuring the line between the terrestrial and the otherworldly. Drifting between shadowy and luminous textures which are driven by a hypnotic pulse, each track brings its own unique character. The listener is guided through evolving spaces that represent echoes of the subconscious, carried by rhythms that dissolve boundaries of time and place.
